When we arrived at Cindy and Gregg's unit, we were wonderfully surprised with the place. The parking is very close to the unit (unlike some around there) - the house is EXTREMLY well equipped, as well as clean, and the complex is beautiful - trees everywhere, like a botanical garden. They have thought of everything from laundry detergent, swim floaties, umbrella stroller, spices, and other niceties that one would do not find in many rentals. Cindy was on top of everything the entire time, and we have been in contact since we left. There was a bit of train noise (but not at night) - but you can hear the waterfalls from the deck... that was so nice to listen to in the morning. We had never been to Oceanside before, and Cindy helped us with directions, and ideas for what to do. The pool, and the beach are very clean, and the Koi pond is a hit with our son! I would stay with Cindy and Greg again when we revisit the southern CA area hands down they are the nicest rental owners we have come accross,a nd we have rented many houses for vacations. The Bashfords were very friendly and wonderful to work with. The logistics of renting the condo went smoothly and they were so attentive to our needs. This was the perfect place to stay with two children under the age of 3. There was a crib in the condo and my 2 year old just loved the puzzles and other toys that were provided. Very nice parking spot. It was great to have all the space of a condo at such a great value. The only (slight) disadvantage was the location. It would have been a bit of a walk to the beach....definately doable, since it was just through the condo grounds, but not the easiest with very small childern, and all the gear they require (the paths through the grounds contain several areas with stairs, so strollers get a little tricky). We were not there during "beach season", so it was fine. I would recommend this unit - very family freindly. We found Oceanside to be a nice location between San Diego, Anaheim and the Wild Animal Park.

Beautiful, lush, amazing landscaping. Great view of ponds and foilage. So wonderful to have the beach right off the complex. The pool and jacuzzi were wonderful. The cottage was very clean, and came equipped with anything you could desire! Even had a coffee grinder for us coffee bean freaks!

A wonderful place. The condo was just right and had everything we needed, from beds, tons of towels, kitchen stuff, toys, movies, and so on. The North Coast Village is fabulous with a beautiful garden, pool, and easy beach access. The bashfords are very pleasant and easy to work with. We did Disney, Zoo, and Legoland as well as Oceanside so this is a great location for traveling the area; but leave time to stay at the beach! No risk here, just a great place.

Renting this condo was very easy. Terms were up front and everything was explained very well. I was amazed at the accomodations. There was everything we could have wanted. Excellent for a family with both a baby and two teenagers. I was grateful for the crib and stroller...even though I brought my own. I found going out to the beach through the side E/F gate faster than going through the grounds around the back. Pool was great, although I would advertise the fact that babies need plastic pants to go in the pool. This was a deterrent, but only for the baby. Also bring floaties or water wings. Other than that, great beachcombing, great sunsets. If you shop for groceries, you will have everything.

We have just returned from 2 fantastic weeks at this condo. It is very clean, spacious and extremely well equipped, with lots of thoughful touches for a lively family - games, floats, beach toys, DVD & videos, etc. The 'Village' is also well kept, beautiful floral gardens with koi carp ponds, pool, hot tub, lots of other facilities and very secure. It is perfectly located for theme parks in LA (Disney & Knott's Berry Farm about 1 hour) and even closer to San Diego, which is a brilliant place to explore. Patrick found La Costa Golf Resort a few miles away, always able to fit him in and the super clean beach is just 5 minutes walk, where the kids played on the boogie boards provided until their hearts content. Best of all, the habour was also only a few minutes walk, quicker than getting the car out - and there are at least 5 good eateries for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a home made ice-cream shop! Yum!
I can only mention one minus point, the Coaster train track runs close to the back of the cottage, which was quite noticable at night - once we got used to it and tired from the sea air, it wasn't too bad. Apart from this, I can really say it was our best family holiday ever and at a very reasonable cost for what is included. Thank You Cindy.

The Bashford G2 condo was lovely, up-to-date and easy to get to. The complex was gorgeous! We appreciated the security, the closeness to the beach, the quiet (the train noise was minimal) and the ease of getting to sights along the coast. Thank you to Cindy and Gregg for making the rental process so easy to do; and so quickly accomplished over the internet. We are very happy with our whole experience and will certainly rent from the Bashfords again when we are in the area.

Manager's Response
We continue to be delighted that families find our condo friendly and comfortable. We're a traveling family ourselves with a toddler .. and try to outfit our units to simplify a family with their most basic needs of comfort. We're also very excited to hear that the condo is quiet.. We spent many thousands of dollars this year (2007) in putting all new Amerimax top of the line Vinyl double insulated and extra heavy soundproofing windows and doors in each of our condos. We were extremely pleased with G2 Cottage at the Oceanside Harbor. We had a tremendous time swimming at the beach and just "strolling" around. Cindy is a wonderful host and went the extra mile to be sure we were happy with the condo. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. The condo was very clean (new carpet) and had everything we needed for the week. The walk to the beach is only a few short minutes and it is worth the walk. The beach is wonderful and our three boys loved it. We would definately recommend this cottage to anyone and hope to come back ourselves.
